Took me a minute. Nice. Taking this with me. You can’t stop me.

Yeah my thoughts too. You ain’t taking a bite that big of a candy you don’t know will taste like shit. I call BS
As a consumer we can use our choices where we spend to lead companies one way or the other. Spreading the word to not buy something is “doing something about it”. How effective it may be here in Lemmy, probably not very much, but it’s something.
Pray I do not alter it further…
The issue is that there is only 1 industry. And the end goal of ALL developers and companies is making money. The more the better. When other pools start seeing that pissong in the pool leaves them more money, than they ALL will start designing their games around this. It is this design choice that will infect pretty much all other games. The precedent it sets affects the whole industry.
And like you said before, the only way this is not an issue is if it does not generate additional money for them so that no other pools try to imitate. And this will only happen if nobody buys them. And this post is trying to dissuade those buyers so that this does not become rampart and then all games have it.
Extra credit for correctly using affect!!!
I think the analogy is that it sets a precedent. Now the other companies see how you can pee in the pool and folks are either cool with it (buy) or are on the other end (not buy but meh). Now the pool standard is piss filled pool and we will never have a chance to get into a clean pool anymore.
If you want to take a swim you have to do it in a pissed soaked pool because we never complained or did anything about it.
Chipotles are jalapeños. They are just roasted.
I just hate how fast we reacted to that damn turtle with a plastic straw in its nose and now we will forever suck on moist paper straws for the rest of our lives if we are lucky. But we do shit about the real bulk of the plastic in our oceans. Oh but the cute turtle… We must act now!!!
The world is doomed by greed brothers. We are fucked.
I have been using copilot inside VSCode for about a month. That thing is useful. It really does cut back on programming time. The help you get from this thing, although not 100% accurate, is mostly accurate enough to get you unstuck and keep moving. It is really useful. I have paid 1 monthl at 10$US. It is totally worth it for me and my usage.
I really hope I don’t have to start paying twice as much for the same experience.
Demand will never wane. It is human nature. It’s like yelling really loud “stop being hungry humans!” (well kinda, hunger is not a good analogy but the opinion is that drugs are a fundamental flaw with our human design. Just asking to stop does not work. Also, jailing those who do doesn’t help any either.
The attack has to be financial. Outsell them. Legalize, tax and monitor. Make it a health concern not a law breaking issue. If it is no longer profitable to export, cartels will hurt and weaken and that is how this very powerful organizations are taken down. Take their money away.
Yo! I am unsure on how to maximize your help but I just want to say people like you are the real heroes. Thank you!
Lol. Wholesome funny.
I am taking this with me and no one can’t stop me.
Well said. In a more deep sense, this is exactly what is wrong with our society right now. Our inability to see others doing different things and respecting it instead of criticizing it or making fun. If we all just allow others to do their thing (as long as it does not hurt anyone other than themselves) then we would all be a lot happier. Even the critizizing folk.
We should all strive for this level of rigor when understanding sources of articles online.
The world would be so much better.
Mate. Trusting a company not to shaft you when you have no alternatives is never a good idea. It is actually really bad.
Companies do not act towards the benefit of the customer. It is always towards a better bottom line, and those decisions many times do not have your best interest at heart. If you have no choices, the companies have no incentive to make your experience any better. (see Internet Explorer). Competition is always a good thing. It forces companies to be better. The key word there is forces because they will not do it on their own.
The trick is to lower the output power of your microwave to about 60% then heat them. It avoids the melting hot spots next to the cold dead spots. Also not soggy. Also much more uniform heat distribution. Works for anything.
Stop using your microwave at 100%!!!
This looks really cool. A proper metreoidvenia + prince of Persia action. Let’s wait for reviews, but keeping my eye on this one for sure.
Have you considered a VPS?
I have one that is pretty basic but works very well for about $4US a month. Mine runs Ubuntu 22.
