PRODUTO COSMÉTICO. NÃO COMESTÍVEL. 🤔
To be fair it does look delicious and strawberry yoghurt sure is an unusual fragrance for soap. Hell, I can speak Portuguese and there’s still a non-zero chance I would’ve tried to eat this.
Doesn’t help that Mentos is a candy brand over here in the US. My dumb ass would’ve definitely eaten half of this and only realize something’s wrong when I start burping bubbles
It’s a global candy brand, including Brasil and Portugal. But I’d never seen mentos soap…
No hablo espagñol
But do you speak Portuguese?
My mom used to yell “filho da puta estupido, eu vo te matar!” or something.
Never found out what it means
it means “I love you very much and hope you have a wonderful day”
I figured it was something along those lines 🥰
It means your mother is a whore and she’s going to kill you.
😆
She said “you aren’t my real son and I drowned your parents”
Have you tried google translate smh
I dont know a lick of whatever language that is, but even I can tell thats cosmetic, not for eating.
não*
I couldn’t tell from the compression artifacts. Corrected.
Ok but that is an enormous bite. If it’s an unknown candy, I’m going in with a tentative nibble.
I, on the other hand, live life on the edge. I don’t know what something is but I’m shoving that whole fucking thing in my mouth.
Yeah my thoughts too. You ain’t taking a bite that big of a candy you don’t know will taste like shit. I call BS
I’d totally go for a first bite of that size. I guess I’m just built different.
It’s also a perfect set of teeth / imprint. Maybe it was a pair of dentures they used?
Reminds me of all the places around here that have Fabuloso (a Mexican multi colored cleaning product that often has no English on the label) in the same aisle as the fruit juices.
I know it’s soap but every time I see that forbidden kool-aid my lizard brain activates and my mouth starts watering.
Ironically also all labeled in English
what is written on the package?
Vegetabel soap with fragrance of strawberry yoghurt.
Cosmetic product. Not edible.
“Please god don’t eat this”
Haha funny looking words.
To be fair, even knowing spanish I would be tricked if I didn’t pay attention. I’ve done the same with a ginger bread cookie bath bomb.
Yeah, but that’s
Italianportuguese, though.Oh right. Not sure why I confused both. I speak portuguese.
(back before the days of smartphones & internet everywhere)
I once was sick in a foreign country and bought some chewable vitamin C that turned out to be those fizzing tabs you put in water - cue foaming at the mouth and utter confusion.
Happy it was still edible, just not in the way I tried to consume it.
Who would pick up mentos in the soap isle and think it would be candy?
Who would make soap and label it as strawberry yogurt candy?
Sure, it’s nice that they included this warning at the bottom of the candy looking label:
PRODUCTO COSMETICO. NAO COMESTIVEL.
And the only reason I understand that foreign language is after understanding the context of this entire debacle, analyzing the root words so "THIS is a COSMETIC product. NOT for EATING!
They knew exactly what they were doing when they used English for all the food words, and Spanish(?) for the warnings. Dumb Yankees.
*portuguese, probably
I really want a giant mentos now
Dop in France had a partnership with haribo for body wash. They had fraise tagada, dragibus and cola.
Mmmm cola shampooing
Native in the US has had candy body washes (gummy bears, candy hearts etc), cupcake scented one partnered with Cupcakes by Melissa, and currently has Girl Scouts body wash

Galaxy Quest reference in title, confirmed?
The CEO of Tide has entered the chat
At least it wasn’t Mentos brand toilet bowl cleaner.

cue sick guitar squealing
