That’s a good point. I hadn’t factored in the processor architecture at all, whoops. I’ve already got plenty of Linux experience though, so I just need to find hardware that can support a wide variety of software. Thanks for the recommendations!
Holy fucking nope. I wasn’t planning on getting Windows 11 and this serves as a great reminder to make the transition to Linux. I’ve been thinking of picking up a raspberry pi 5 as my next desktop. Anyone want to share their experiences doing something similar?

I know Python well, but I could build basic things with C++ and Fortran. I use bash a lot too. I know the basics of html and css if those count. And I barely remember some stuff from Matlab
Definitely most furniture (i.e., without cushions so you avoid bed bugs). New furniture is incredibly expensive and (seems to be) lower quality. Second hand furniture can still be expensive but it’s usually heavily discounted, especially if someone is trying to get rid of it quickly.
Local thrift shops are a good option of course, but also try garage/yard sales, Craigslist, OfferUp, etc. If your area has estate sales you can find some pretty killer deals on good furniture there too.
Natural language processing falls under AI though, and so do large language models (see chapters 23 and 24 of Russell and Norvig, 2021 http://aima.cs.berkeley.edu/).
I don’t understand this, honestly. I look at the final price of something regardless of whether or not it’s on sale and think to myself “Is this a reasonable price for this item? Is it something I actually want/need and will use?” If I answer no to either I usually don’t buy it.

A complete in the box Nintendo “New” 2DS XL Hylian Shield edition. Scooped it up for $150 used with games and now the handheld with the box and inserts sits around $600. No plans to sell it though, I’m a huge Zelda fanboy so I love it to bits.

I think the reported numbers are coming from downdetector.com, which relies on self reporting and people being aware that the website exists. I imagine many more customers were affected. Also, anything the prevents emergency services communication, which occurred during this outage, should be considered a major outage imo

That’s a bummer that CSAM is still being posted. I get that y’all need to stop the people posting it immediately, and I agree with whatever you need to do to make that happen. However, I hope you can find a solution later down the road that allows VPN users to continue fully interacting with the site.
Yeah it is difficult, maybe not the best way to learn. But making mistakes and seeing how others play their decks can be valuable experience imo.
That’s fair. I find drafting difficult too and only win a game here or there if I play someone inexperienced or I get an incredibly lucky pull. But I feel like I learn quite a bit by drafting, even if I don’t know the set.
Maybe a better way to learn deck building is to check out the meta game and figure out how each deck works based on its contents? Though that only takes you so far, you do have to play the deck and interact with others to really learn it.
This is why so many people play drafts at local game shops. It achieves two things: 1) you get experience playing the game with a limited number of unique cards and everyone has similar chances of getting the cards they want and need and 2) you build your collection by keeping the cards you drafted and winning additional packs if you won any games. There are plenty of people at these shops that would be willing to help you with deck building too.
