  • Depending on where you live, it probably has changed. Especially if you’re in the US.

Basically, chocolate has been getting a lot more expensive. Rather than raise prices, a lot of companies have figured that consumers are more sensitive to changes in price rather than changes in quality or size.

A lot of American brands seem to be reducing the amount of actual chocolate in their “chocolate(y)s”, and reducing the size. There’s only so much they can reduce the size before people notice, so most of their cost savings comes from reducing the amount of chocolate.

Try some European chocolate if you ever miss the good stuff. Imported, not just European brands.

A lot of chocolate in the US can’t legally be called chocolate in Canada. A lot of chocolate in Canada can’t legally be called chocolate in the UK. And a lot of chocolate in the UK can’t be called chocolate in some continental European countries (though I don’t know how the scale continues from there, lol).

A lot of brands have stopped even using the word “chocolate” to describe their product. Anything that has a “chocolatey coating” does not actually have real chocolate.

  • he commented that his stay at the Crowne Plaza Florya Istanbul was “convenient to near by [sic] Ataturk Airport.” He also added that one staff member who served him in the restaurant deserved a “shout out” as he was “extremely, helpful, polite and professional.”

I always thought people leaving good public reviews were good people.

Then again, I’d also assume that crime kingpins would be smart enough not to point to their locations publicly…maybe he’s leaving a review for a place he visited ages ago? But he should definitely have Google’s location tracking turned off…

  • Something that is known to be harmful like this should be regulated. I’m not saying video games should be banned, but maybe they should have to publish their drop rates. Or maybe they shouldn’t be downloadable on devices not owned by adults.

We don’t let kids buy cigarettes. We don’t let them into casinos.

We just need to put rules on what can and can’t be in games marketed to children, and make games marketed to adults more transparent.

  • Well, we have laws about what can/can’t be put in food, and we have laws requiring the nutrition information and ingredients on processed foods.

Games can be made as addictive as possible without revealing their odds, and can even make players pay for another “spin” without it being considered gambling.

It’s like putting a little bit of nicotine into your cake to make them addictive, but only putting it in every second cake or so.
