I know these platforms are looked down upon here, but I’ve connected (at least online) with local musicians in my area through my city’s subreddit and discord. Chances are there is a sub and/or discord channel for musicians in your area. There are also facebook groups if you’re on there too.
Ok my brain is slow today. What am I supposed to be seeing?
I publish my music online. Since I make that kind of music because I like that genre, then I’m pretty optimistic I will like it if it wasn’t me who made it. As for comments on lemmy, reddit, etc., no so much; but I have given advice from time to time that people appreciated based on their replies. Usually it’s about music, cooking, and movies.
Because most low birth-rate countries are first-world countries, and they generally want to only accept people who can contribute to their society and not be freeloaders to the social system. This means they need to filter out the people that come in, and being first-world countries, there is no shortage of people trying to get in. Sometimes they want low-skill, not-highly educated people just for the cheap labor, but not the person actually staying permanently, hence temporary worker visas. If a foreigner really wants to stay permanently, they then need to ensure that you are educated, able to support yourself long term, do background security checks, and make sure you agree to integrate as you mentioned in the OP.

I don’t usually go along with trends, so my worst one is the starbucks planner thing where you collect stickers for every coffee you buy and you get a planner notebook for the coming year. Most expensive notebook I ever bought, and a waste of money. Also feels disgusting giving all that money to starbucks. This was like15 years ago though.
All the obvious ones have been mentioned already, so I’ll just add:
Keyboard tray if your desk doesn’t have one. It allows you to achieve the 90 degree arm position without having to set your desk too low or your chair too high.
Wrist pad. A nice gel pad provides great support for your wrist. Just make sure your keyboard and mouse are at the appropriate heights, because if not, a wrist pad can make it worse.
Head rest add-on to your chair if it doesn’t have one.
Laptop stand to lift your laptop screen to eye level. It also helps to keep it aligned to an external monitor so they are the same heights.
Cool! I might join as this is another avenue to get my music out to more audiences, but I agree with the other comment, not discord please.
My org has a follow-the-sun rule and avoids having people work on weekends. It helps that it’s a global team, so there’s only around maybe 18-20 hours in the middle of the weekend where it’s not a Monday or Friday somewhere in the world.
Circling back. It looks like they did something this week and the filter no longer works. Any chance you know of a new filter?

There was a video a few years back of Sinclair(?) or something that had all the networks they owned say the same thing, and it was very dystopian.

They scored big with the M-series macbook being a little thicker and having an hdmi port, and now they want to go back?
Thunder and Arctic. Thunder for its unique interface, and Arctic for its ability to embed and play media. Although Thunder is close to being able to do that as well.
3 weeks so far lol. I’ll probably have to finally mow next week before it gets unmanageable.
