No. As you can see on protondb.com, 86% of the Top 1000 Games on Steam have a Silver rating or better, meaning they work just fine on Linux.

Anything that doesn’t work on Linux
The avionics bay of an Airbus A380
Darknet Diaries is just amazing, it’s always really interesting, I never get bored
The Lockdown is a pretty good podcast about digital (and physical) privacy and security
The Privacy, Security, and OSINT Show by Michael Bazzell @ inteltechniques.com was really great, but they took it down last year. Fortunately there is still a torrent of the full archive of the show floating around: https://lemmings.world/post/11120738
The Ask Noah Show is all about Linux and open source software
Basically everything produced by Jupiter Broadcasting is just awesome, including Linux Unplugged and Self-Hosted
Linux Matters can also sometimes have really good content (Here’s their Mastodon profile: https://ubuntu.social/@linuxmatters)
Brodie Robertson’s Tech over Tea (I’m sorry I don’t have a better way to link to it than Apple Podcasts)
The Linux Experiment’s weekly Linux & open source news podcast (which you can also follow from the Fediverse btw, Castopod is just an awesome piece of software)
I think that’s because KDE has just reimplemented it to work on Wayland, but it’s not there by default. This is a feature of X.
You can actually unlock LUKS from another machine over SSH: https://www.cyberciti.biz/security/how-to-unlock-luks-using-dropbear-ssh-keys-remotely-in-linux/
I’m pretty happy with this solution
You can get Vi keybindings in Emacs, I use Evil mode all the time
Home Assistant
There’s no fucking way I’m using a cloud service to control parts of my home, that just feels so wrong to me on so many levels
Nextcloud
There’s no way I’m saving my files on someone else’s computer (the Cloud). Even with encryption, it’s expensive. Hard drives are cheap. Put them in a server, install Nextcloud and you have your private, cheap, independent cloud service.
Immich (currently migrating to Ente) for my photos
Jellyfin + arr Stack
I’m not paying $100/month for 5 different streaming services to have access to all the content I like.
Navidrome for my (pirated) music
Audiobookshelf for audiobooks and podcasts
Pi-Hole with Unbound set up as a recursive resolver, cause why should I trust someone else with DNS?
I also self-host Matrix or Revolt servers as well as game servers for me and my friends, because it’s much cheaper than getting VPS or a hosted option, and I already have this server that I use for a bunch of other stuff, so I can also just use it for that.
Shutting down 3rd-party apps
Found a fellow Arctic user, awesome!
Arctic > Voyager
since it’s not a web app, but an actual native iOS app written in Swift. Just like Apollo.
I feel like this article should be posted on centralized social media platforms instead, in order to attract new users to the Fediverse.
Sign the petition! Not sure if it is going to make any difference, but it just takes a couple of minutes. https://www.change.org/p/let-readers-read-an-open-letter-to-the-publishers-in-hachette-v-internet-archive
I know, I mean I haven’t really played it much and haven’t progressed far. I feel like I missed out on a huge part of the game. Will definitely get back to it some day.
Unfortunately Stardew Valley. But now I don’t have much time and I lost my save file, so I would have to start all over again.
