Removed. NPR is, by definition, internal US news, not World News.

Would be a good fit for either News or Politics, but I’m FAIRLY sure it’s already been posted there.

    https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/the-free-press-bias/

These media sources are slight to moderately conservative in bias. They often publish factual information that utilizes loaded words (wording that attempts to influence an audience by appeals to emotion or stereotypes) to favor conservative causes. These sources are generally trustworthy for information but may require further investigation.

This source is hot garbage. It’s a right-wing conspiracy theory rag

The source is a 25 year employee of NPR. This long time NPR employee, registered Democrat, is a right-wing conspiracy theorist?

I suspect the “source” they are referring to is Bari Weiss’s “The Free Press” with is all in on “anti-woke” as an agenda, and those that use that derogatorily are pretty much all right-wing sites for pushing an agenda.

And yep, if you read his arguments, they are all basically rehashed right-wing complaints. He misquotes the Muller report for Bill Bar’s misleading summary, overstates the reliability of the Laptop, and gets bogged down in the lab leak theory without doing the sort of authentication that one would expect from someone in the media trying to show how unbiased they are vs everyone else. It’s all right wing pushed talking points.

LOL Yeah, okay whatever you say, grasshopper. Anybody who works/or has worked there definitely aren’t right wing. 🤦🏽‍♂️ The author is making the point that they’ve moved to being more neoliberal.

They didn’t lose my trust but also I can see their bias regularly. Their bias is usually on the side of human decency but sometimes they are rather preachy about it n

the network lost its way when it started telling listeners how to think

Yep. Simply reporting facts and the news fell by the wayside to opinion pieces disguised as news articles, light on facts heavy on opinion. People don’t like being told what to do think.
