Never thought the body of an article would make me stop reading in literally the first two words before and lose all interest in the content, yet here we are…

      Maybe Stormgate will be better?

Even though Riot Games/Tencent are an investor in Frost Giant. At least they’re not straight up owned by them… I guess time will tell?

Ya, their monetization practices are fucking wild. League is still a great game in itself, so there’s hope we will see another good RTS. Tencent also owns Path of Exile as well, so here’s hoping!

Not excited for tencent, but the idea of an rts that de-emphasizes APM sounds really intriguing to me.

Age of Empires 2 is heading that direction right now. Patch after patch. Also one of the few games where the APM isn’t the deciding factor even at the top.

Just give me WC3 with a higher food cap, please. Plus open modding tools that let people create entirely new games, and even import custom models. I still fondly remember playing so many custom games. Especially this one DBZ one with custom models and sound clips.

I played WC2 back in the day but I never liked it as much as C&C. The whole food mechanic was too much for my liking.
