I actually dated the guy in the bottom left corner of the photo. He is the one squatting down, with no dress jacket on; just a long sleeve dress shirt. We dated for about three and a half years after high school ended. We almost got married. I was madly in love with him. I think he married someone that also went to our former high school. She isn’t in this photo, though. They dated after our relationship ended.
Just a wild thought… why didn’t you, dateless as you were, just date each other?
My guess is that they liked someone else but didn’t like anyone in the group.
