“Overnight and into the early hours of the morning, the Israeli military continued to pound parts of eastern Rafah city,” Al Jazeera reported, adding that health facilities in Rafah are unable to accommodate large numbers of casualties.

The Israeli army has repeatedly used white phosphorus on civilians in Gaza and Lebanon since the start of the war. Rights groups have called for an urgent investigation after several Palestinian corpses were found vaporized in Gaza, suggesting Israel’s possible use of illegal thermobaric weapons to target civilians.

The UN has warned that Israel’s ongoing operation at the Rafah crossing threatens to seriously hinder humanitarian aid efforts.

A four-month-old baby, a six-year-old, and an eight-year-old were killed by an Israeli bombing on the Qishta family home in Rafah on Tuesday afternoon. One man was also killed in an airstrike near the Rafah border crossing.

      The way it’s been used by the IDF, the where’s daddy system seems deliberately intended to target women and children since they would be sheltering in the domiciles that get bombed without warning.

        That is not the way they use this system. It is what the system is designed and cynically named for. They name it “where is daddy” because when daddy comes home, the entire family is murdered.

      Calling Jews nazis, and saying Israel should be nuked, yet I’m the one getting banned from communities all over the site for saying leftists have lost their fucking minds over this conflict.

        I mean the nuking part is dumb but nazis is pretty fitting at this point. They are, using their goverments statements of intent as evidence, comitting genocide and constantly using very similar language to that of nazi germany.

        Many high ranking israeli officials consider palestinians inferior “animals” that need to be eradicated.

        If you dont get why people are losing their minds over that, then you shouldnt be surprised people dont like you.

        I don’t think he said anybody should be nuking Jews. It’s a subtle little ploy, trying to make it seem like anyone who stands against Israel hates Jews, but the only people you’re fooling is Zionists.

        Lemmy has become an echo chamber for people who think the Palestinians have been persecuted/oppressed and that Jihad is a rational response and Israel should sit back and accept it. War is always horrendous to see but it’s incredible the complete asymmetry of people’s judgement on the actions of Israel vs Hamas

        I’ve actually gone back to Reddit which I haven’t used since last June. The discussion there is far more balanced.

      I would be really careful when labeling it in that way.

      If Iran nuked Israel, the US would join in even more and retaliate for Israel, since most of our gov’t and politicians get some form of donations or help from AIPAC and such.

      This would start WWIII at a much quicker rate than what it currently is, not to mention Russia and China would also have to join in.

      Zionists would be a better word, IMO, force a ceasefire and sanction Israel would be the minimum.

          I do not think that is a healthy way of looking at the world.

          The working class are just pawns in these never ending wars we somehow keep finding ourselves in.

          This is all [due] to the owner class pushing for more profits and more infighting within the working class.

          The real war should be the class war!
