I hear it all of the time about inflation, about financial struggles, making ends meet .etc .etc nearly all of the time.

While I can’t deny things like inflation, as having seen it myself gradually increase for years. I do often times question the spending abilities of people who proclaim to be struggling so much.

Like, who was it that decided that you wanted to go into the city and try renting out an apartment that’s $1,900 a month? Who was it that decided they were going to spend $200 on groceries…on themselves? Who was it that decided they prioritized entertainment luxuries over making sure your net or your electricity isn’t turned off?

You see, that’s the juicy details we are missing from these stories of people griping all of the time about financial woes. It never fails, whenever someone is bitching about their monetary problems. Ask them to break down their budget and expenses. You won’t be surprised to learn that they’re spending bundle plans while they use only 1 thing out of that bundle. That they spend too much on groceries on just themselves living alone. That they need to have their alcohol, their weed, their X for Y reason.

And you start to see why they have money issues. But they get vehemently defensive once you point out the cracks. All that they spat with is “DON’T TELL ME HOW TO SPEND MY MONEY!11”.

Bruh…bruh…listen. If you’re going to be shouting and screaming at the clouds for why it is that you keep finding yourself broke and eating nothing but ramen noodles all of the time. You’ve got to take a couple steps back and accept that maybe, just maybe, it’s not always the system’s fault for why you’re there.

People tell you to spend wisely. They aren’t telling you what to spend something on, they’re telling you to spend wisely. They’re telling you to save. But ya keep not doing it because you think you’re the best damn accountant in the world that doesn’t ever need financial advice.

If that’s true, why do you keep finding yourself broke?
