    I too have seen cats do this. I assume it is one of two things - the cat hopes to draw the birds closer by mimicking their chirps or to alert other cats that there is prey nearby. Perhaps it is a combination of both.

    i have seen cats do this a lot. I’m not entirely sure why they do it. but ive seen a TON do it. maybe its imitating birds but I feel like there’s gotta be more to it.
