I was begging my American friends in the skeptic community since 2011-2012, that the far-right is banking on the “you call everyone a nazi you disagree with” to help normaize their bullshit, while also saw the far-right creating a more digestable version of their “cultural Marxism” conspiracy theory. I was looking for that line to quote in a different thread. When googling articles it seems they’ve updated this to say no charges or arrests will be made, but god damn is that not a dystopian line “police are still determining the appropriate charges to file” AKA “this guy didn’t break any law but we’re still trying to figure out how to lock him away.”
