WASHINGTON (AP) — U.S. Vice President JD Vance said that he’s joining his wife on a Friday trip to Greenland, suggesting in an online video that global security is at stake.
“We’re going to check out how things are going there,” Vance said in a video shared Tuesday. “Speaking for President Trump, we want to reinvigorate the security of the people of Greenland because we think it’s important to protecting the security of the entire world.”
That’s so aggressive, but not new. Let’s not forget the US is an imperial power who has constantly deposed and invaded other countries.

Why can’t Greenland officials meet them at the airport, detain while going through their social media , and then put them back on the plane and tell them to not come back? I think that would be fair.

The Greenlandic government should call the Danish army to provide a 24-7 heavy armed escort to these VIPs. For their own protection. Who knows when a Hygge snowmobile night attack.

Interesting point. Can the US military just fly anyone they like into their overseas bases in Europe etc, then just exit the base into the hosting country, having skipped immigration controls?
