I was on facebook, the moment the backlash blew up against genAI, anti-LGBTQ+ hate speech was seldom moderated. I often got an immediate reply on my reports of stuff like that, that it did not violate any rules.

I had a trans friend in the tech industry, who kind of confirmed it, then went MIA with no explanation.

If they are using AI for something as simple as an image cover, then there’s not stopping them from using AI for writing “news” for them in the future

It was mostly a throwaway joke, I have no idea who they are. It was an interesting conversation filled with good points discussing the topic at hand, and then they ended with a strawman argument to talk shit on “mediocre white men” out of the blue. It’s not my fault for thinking it undercut their arguments, they’re the one that wrote it.

    I partially agree

If you’re an independent creator, I would judge you heavily for using AI, it’s your work, put in effort to things you dedicate, or focus elsewhere with stock photos as filler, AI is the middle of the road but it simultaneously means a lack of effort and also a lack of care to even improve it

For businesses, it would immediately make me rank it lesser but I wouldn’t be as upset compared to independent creators, businesses will do whatever to attract the most people for least and it is especially limiting if you’re a small businesses. It does not inspire confidence but it is acceptable.

if anything, it’s less acceptable for businesses to exploit artists because if they can’t afford to pay them, they shouldn’t be in business

If you’re crying about someone using generated art instead of free stock photos… Grow up and find a real issue.
