Because his voters don’t believe any of the points you make about him. Trump is able to dismiss any criticism of him as “fake news.” You can make any legitimate point about him and they will never believe it.
Companies don’t make as much money when it’s repairable. Washers and dryers used to last 20-25 years with a few repairs here and there. But companies weren’t making any money, so they started making unrepairable junk instead.
It’s kind of sad. If the Schengen agreement ends up collapsing, it would severely undermine the foundation of the entire European project and could potentially lead to the eventual demise of the EU as a whole. The EU knows this and they are desperate to keep borders open. But it’s just not going to happen, at least not until the external borders are dealt with.
Yeah. Although there’s plenty to learn from history, humans have a tendency to ignore it and go with the populist policy of the day instead. The US has been going down that same road with Trump.
Looks like the Schengen area is pretty much just disintegrating at this point. I doubt the borderless freedom of movement we’ve been used to for a long time is coming back anytime soon. Closures are definitely snowballing at the moment.
So, the man with the mustache is making a comeback in Germany?
So, no one bothers to learns lessons from history any more…? Hmmm.
Having lived and worked for many years in both Europe and the US, the US has the absolute worst work-life balance and labor regulations I’ve ever experienced in my life. Japan makes the US look like a kindergarten.
European countries are also capitalist countries, but they have much better consumer protections and laws. It can be done.
At its very core, capitalism breeds greed.
Don’t have enough income to get approved for a rewards credit card? Pay at least 2 percent more for all purchases than those who do.
And the more we discuss it here, the more it legitimizes Trump’s AI argument. He’s laughing all the way to the ballot box.
Europe as a whole is not a lot smaller than the US, so I think many of the same efficiencies can be achieved. China has also been able to do it very efficiently, which is basically the same size as the US. Granted, they have a much larger population and more potential customers, but it can definitely be done.
Lol
You can have both. Europe has a great mix. So awesome to have the option to take the train or bus. They also have awesome road infrastructure in most places. Try comparing an American freeway to a German freeway. You feel like you’re in a third world country when you come back to the roads in the States.
I wish. The US is endlessly far behind on public transportation.
Talking to my own family members around the US, they only have eyes for their enormous gas guzzler pickup trucks that they use to run to the grocery store down the street.
Russia is not surrounded. They have friends along most of their borders or a sea in between.
But it’s not going to kill us in the first world.
So, screw all the people who are going to die in the third world?
So, buying opportunity?
Weird mustache-man is making a comeback.
