On the realm of possibilities, windows can do whatever it wants. If it is connected to the internet then yeah it would be possible for Microsoft to do something like that, but I wouldn’t be worried about it just for piracy. Something like that could be possible for detecting CP or things on that level but I doubt MS would go low enough to do that for simple pirated content.
Stack overflow still have users? These days it rarely shows up on my search results and when it does the answers are always outdated by several years.

I don’t know. If done well this could be a much better option than pausing whatever you’re watching to show an ad.
If youtube showed ads on the corner of the screen while you’re browsing around searching for something to watch, it would be a much better platform than what it is today and it would probably make more money too. If Netflix did this they would triple their revenue.

The problem with mandatory work is that someone will benefit from that work and so it’ll be in their interest that more people be condemned to it. It would need to be organized in a way that companies didn’t profit directly from increased convictions.
It is giving control of the car to the driver without enough time for a human to react to anything. I understand why there’s nothing the autopilot can do but then blaming the driver for not fixing the situation in the 200ms they have is stupid.
I still laugh when I remember that for years they kept saying that the auto pilot was turned off every time some tesla crashed, until it was finally revealed that the auto pilot turns off automatically when it detects an imminent crash it can’t avoid.

A ton of stuff. One that I figured out by myself and not many people seem to know is that in most softwares you can triple click on a word to select a full paragraph of text (double click selects the word). It works on code editors and IDEs as well, to select one line of code.
A lot of times he couldn’t figure things out by himself. They made a big point of his team being there to complete him, not just to do what he told them to.

Tablets are much better than phones at trying to do things that are meant to be done in a full computer, while being much more more portable than computers. It’ll never be as good as PCs but to some people that’s not a big price to pay for the portability.
It’s not standard to still expect to find anyone on social media these days. If someone mentioned they couldn’t find you and that was important to you maybe you should ask that specific person for advice?
In my experience the expectation these days is for people to be available in some chat apps online (depending where you are: WhatsApp, signal, telegram or iMessage).
