It’s simply an institution meant to interpret laws and their legality. All of that goes out the window when the people in said institution are politically charged, corrupt, or make bad arguments.

The merger is still something that I’m 50/50 on because it made T-Mobile’s service so much more reliable, and iirc Sprint was genuinely struggling.
It still sucks that Boost isn’t going anywhere
I think projects like this are good, but I really don’t want governments to create their own version of XYZ for the sake of creating clones of XYZ. I’m scared that all this will do is fragment an almost-universal collection of open-source projects into regional variants for no real reason.
There are way too many nice features on Windows that don’t exist or are time consuming to set up on Linux. My only pain point on Windows, other than the stupid pop-ups advertising other services, are the fact that I can’t install individual GNU tools like nano easily.
Please do Chrome first, though. At least Edge has introduced solid features, whereas Google has a history of limiting other browsers on its websites to promote Chrome.
The US government isn’t gonna do anything like this unless it causes a huge fuss. The agencies responsible don’t get enough funding to properly regulate the stuff they’re supposed to, and they have to prioritize as a result.
I’m sure companies know this very well. Our rights as consumers have been slowly decaying for years, and we haven’t seen much government action until recently.
What about the remaining 3%?
Also, to (hopefully) answer your question:
Ignore Finland/Europe for a second and look at North America. The US has many population centers along the coasts and very few in the west inland. People still live there, so they need internet access, but oftentimes there aren’t enough people to justify expanding coverage across such a huge area without subsidizing said coverage with government funds or other customers, so there are bound to be coverage gaps if you don’t have unlimited money to throw at the problem. If you take a look at Canada, you can see how much worse the problem is as they have even more area to cover, and it reflects in the fact that they have some of the highest wireless prices in the world.
Also remember that these are wealthy countries. Plenty of other regions have the same problems with population density and physical size, and they can’t throw money at the problem like we can.
The TL;DR is that these deadzones exist in a ton of places because a lot of low-population areas are physically huge.
Even if the left is overall more tolerant, there’s still plenty of toxicity that alienates people and pushes them rightward.
Any such interface needs to be non-invasive/removable for me to use one.
I don’t know; AFAIK, Reddit successfully argued that they own Wallstreetbets’ trademarks in court. That might void all of these licenses depending on the ToS of the instance being used.
Reminds me of Rensenware.
I remember seeing an experiment saying that the difference is negligible. Even if it isn’t, it’s far more important to keep your battery between 20 and 80 percent at all times.
It’s not even close to the widest in the world.
This is already the case because there’s legal precedent.
None of the other comments explain why misinformation makes money.
It’s because stuff like misinformation, lies by omission, and rage bait all tend to incite very emotional responses in people. These people then engage with the post via likes, retweets, viewership, dislikes etc. that tell the algorithm to increase said post’s reach to more people. Platforms want to consume as much of people’s time as possible for monetization purposes, so misinformation really helps them.
That being said, all of this is pure speculation. If I were to guess why they disbanded their T&S team strictly from the headline, it would be because of incompetence.
Just call them a wet wipe and leave
If you ignore the reasons why someone might eat too many calories relative to what their specific body needs, then yes.
Weight is often something that people can’t control. There are many reasons why someone can be overweight or obese.
For some justices, I agree. However, as a general principle, I think of the vast majority of “bad people” as incompetent rather than malicious unless there’s proof of guilt. I don’t know enough about all 9 justices to comfortably say they’re evil or corrupt.
