It’s all about intended audience. When it’s in English it’s toned down and meant for the rest of the world, when it’s in Hebrew it’s meant for Israelis and tends to be more mask off.

It’s different when targeting a specific business as that kind of boycott can continue indefinitely. A boycott against spending any money or going to any business can only last so long and therefore companies will see a downturn and then probably a spike in sales as people buy a bunch of stuff at once that they were planning to buy during the boycott. I agree with the other comments that organizing workplaces to eventually form the base for a real general strike would be a more effective strategy to actually hurt businesses.
I mean yeah I think the main problem is just Google having all that data about you and potentially selling it to others whether that be for advertising, robocalling, or other things. So it really just comes down to how comfortable you are allowing Google to be able to use your emails and communications from corporations to see what things you like. Only time it really matters more is if you are using email for more personal or secure communications which yeah I would always prefer using better encrypted more messaging focused apps like signal for or just talking in person when possible.
How is this not a concentration camp? Idk what your definition of a concentration camp is but rounding people up in a camp with poor conditions sounds like a concentration camp to me.
Sure the courts are doing a good job at pushing back for now but all it will take is some of these cases going to the supreme court for that to change. Both Trump and Vance have already openly said that they shouldn’t have to follow judges’ orders and seem to be building a case for openly defying the judiciary that’s justified in the eyes of their supporters. And this is all within the first month of him being in office, it’s only gonna get worse from here and by the time the next election comes around who knows what the situation will look like but I can easily see a future where he runs for election again and no one is left to stop him other than attempts by blue states.
Might just be people who are used to having an algorithm so they dislike stuff they don’t want to see more of.
Honestly with all the stuff going on right now with laws and the constitution being violated on the federal level the real question is who would enforce that he can’t run again? Sure some blue states might take him off the ballot but he probably wasn’t going to win those ones anyways. He has both the supreme Court and Congress on his side right now and if he still has that in four years I could easily see him running again with no one to really stop him.
I mean I don’t know a ton about SQL but one thing to keep in mind about SSNs is they were not originally meant to be used for identification but because we have no form of national id and places still needed a way to verify who you are people just started using SSNs for that since it’s something everyone has and there wasn’t really a better option. So now the government has been having to try and make them work for that and make them more secure. The better solution would be to make some form of national id that is designed to be secure but Republicans and people like Musk would probably call that government overreach or a way to spy and track people.
The only one I’ve bought is the one in Marvel Rivals but that’s cause it was only $5 for a game I’ve already put like 50-60 hours in. Plus with the way it’s setup if I want to get another one in the future if it’s the same price it’ll only be like $2 with the included currency you get from buying it. I generally agree I would rather just not have battle passes at all but I think Concord showed that paid games in this kind of genre don’t really work anymore. Sure Concord had other problems but I’m sure it would have been better off if it was free to play with micro transactions as a lot more people would have given it a shot if there was no barrier to entry.
I think that’s where Indie games have really stepped in. There’s been a lot of good indie games that are just a nice complete experience on their own. And with them being so much cheaper it’s harder for AAA games to compete.
I mean atleast recently there haven’t been a lot of new battle Royale games. I haven’t seen a new big battle Royale game in a while, at most you get shooter games having a battle Royale game mode on top of the normal game modes they have.
If I remember right they were involved, and there was some kind of agreement between the factions to not attack each other until the Assad regime was gone. So will have to see what happens now that the regime has collapsed.
Yeah but this was also advertising the service, a quadrocopter wouldn’t do that as good. If anything I’m surprised they are just sacrificing the robo dog considering how expensive those are.
This reminds me of the people you see in stores who are trying to sell you on a phone plan. I have mint mobile and pay like $15 a month for my plan which has more than enough data. They asked how much I currently pay and I told them it and they just immediately gave up and were like yeah we can’t match that.
Yeah and the only way technology like this might ever get there is with companies like Google and others gathering even more data from you. Which for most people might not be a problem but I’m guessing for people on here you’d probably not like that.
Pretty sure it’s cause they did it without the original people (or person, not sure how many) who did the code. And so what ends up happening is the new people come in, don’t understand why things were made the way they were, and try to rework stuff to be better. Whether it actually is needed or not is a different question but either way reworking large parts of your code is bound to lead to bugs and problems.
Pretty sure this is a reference to a meme from a GTA game
Yeah it’s all about orders of magnitude. X has over 100 million daily users while Truth Social has around half a million (and that’s the highest estimate I saw). Even if only one percent of X users are spreading misinformation that’s more users than if everyone on Truth Social is spreading misinformation.
I mean if you count every piece of media like that I imagine someone like Marvel or DC would beat them just due to comic books and the fact they’ve been around a lot longer.
The way it’s written my mind immediately read it in the voice of Wheatley from Portal 2.
