And they all of them were fooled, for another one was made
Up until like 2022, changing your job every one and a half to three years was the best way to increase your base salary and total lifetime income.
I’ve changed jobs every 3ish years for the last 12 years and when I started I was making $15 an hour and now I’m making $67 an hour.
My friend who I met at the $15 an hour job has only changed jobs every 7 years, he’s now making $27 an hour.
We have similar skill sets and graduated from the same college except he was 2 years ahead of me, although, I did move to a higher cost of living area which is probably good for like $20 of the difference.
I’ve had 50. It depends on the person and the jobs.
Some jobs are minimum wage BS jobs that people are doing just to stay alive, if you burn out on a BS job in 6 weeks that’s nothing to be ashamed of.
I also typically have worked multiple jobs at the same time. I’ve had two full-time jobs and a part-time job while going to school and not sleeping for more than 5 hours a night for like 9 months.
Are you going to hold that against me, or does it show that I have the drive and initiative to accomplish my goals no matter how difficult they may be?
Sure, I bounced between jobs a lot when I was in my teenage years and my early twenties, but once I hit college and built a career and my employment history has been Rock fucking solid, typically 3+ years between job changes.
I would say that my last 14 years of employment weighs a lot more heavily than my first 5 years of employment.
Do you want to get cursed? Cuz that’s how you get cursed.
Reddit sold whatever soul it may have had to the devil, as does every company that goes public.
It’s literally taking our words and our conversations and using them to train an inhuman computer system to sound more human.
And we are not allowed to say no.
It doesn’t get more devilish than that on the internet.
And of course, I deleted my account when this whole debacle happened, but I’m sure they’re still taking all of my old comments and selling them to any person with a dollar.
They’ve made it incredibly clear that anything you post on their platform is theirs, and if they do something you don’t like you can go fuck yourself.
Fuck Reddit.
You can also find a cheap laptop with like a 7th gen Intel or newer processor and use that with a wireless keyboard and mouse and an HDMI cable.
Bang for your buck it’ll be the best deal for you
There’s definitely a part of me that blames myself for this.
At the same time though I feel like Tim and Kat have to share some of the blame.
We were all late teens early 20s at this point. This was not some 6th grade shenanigans. Being told that the two of you look good together and obviously like each other shouldn’t be the end of the relationship.
I had two friends, Kat and Tim, who were vibing on each other super hard.
Both of them were afraid to make the first move.
One day I got drunk and I saw them kind of flirting and it got the best of me and I just said hey guys, you two are obviously a great match for each other, why don’t y’all go out on a date and see where it goes?
That in itself wasn’t that bad but in my mildly drunk stupor I didn’t think about the fact that we were all standing in front of all of our friends and they were both shy and because of me saying that they immediately distance themselves from one another and never got together.
If I had kept my mouth shut and just let things progress normally they might have ended up together.
Tim’s life really sucks right now and his life would probably be a hell of a lot better if I had just kept my fucking mouth shut.
Amazon could make such a dramatic improvement by adding a simple “this item is not appropriate for this search” clickbox.
That way the users could force the sellers to correctly list their products or to face downranking in the search results.
I mean, you’re not wrong, but it seems like a shopping website that refuses to show you the thing that you are looking for doesn’t want your business.
Amazon is incredibly bad about this. If I did not have to use it for work, I would not use it at all. I deactivated my prime account 5 years ago and I have not regretted it one second.
Now though, eBay is doing the same thing and that really sucks. AliExpress also does this. It’s getting to the point where you simply cannot find what you are looking for unless you are so specific that whatever search algorithm they are using simply cannot choose to show you something else about directly explicitly lying to your face.
And I don’t think that using a third party search engine to find the specific part number of the item you’re looking for so that you can find it on the shopping website that makes its money by selling you the things that you want to buy is a good solution.
Possibly. The thing is I’m not trying to sing like death metal or anything I just want to be able to put the occasional scream onto a song like Dave grohl does.
He can transition from clear vocal to distorted vocal and back cleanly, and I would like to be able to replicate that for my own music.
I have had many singing lessons, they focused more on proper intonation and breath support, vibrato control, scale memorization, stuff like that.
I even paid for a good chunk of my college by participating in choir. I’m a dramatic tenor and there’s a recording out there where we’re singing Leonard Cohen’s hallelujah and in a crowd of 80 singers I can be clearly heard over all of the other singers.
Loud voice. No scream.
I just want to know how to scream.
I would say many of them are there for a free paycheck yes, but personal trainers are also there to teach people who have never learned how to exercise how to exercise and to encourage them when their friends and family will not, and those are valuable if time limited resources.
I’m okay with Chief executive officers. I’m not okay with publicly traded companies.
If I were to start a business I would like to be allowed to run that business. But I think any business that goes public and starts trading on the stock market has sold out completely and totally and no longer has any intrinsic value.
They always do it for a temporary injection of money and they always end up enshittifying as they inevitably have to satisfy the investors who gave them the money.
I feel like I’ve seen those books way back in the day but I couldn’t tell you the name of them to save my life.
Also, oven: frozen pizza right on the grate.
Microwave: you put that shit on a plate and a paper napkin on top of it, don’t want all the other food inside the microwave touching your food
If it’s one in a million doesn’t that mean that it’s happening like four times a year?
