Also how is this being exclusively associated with the US?
I mean I get it, we like guns and this is the US version of Amazon, but it’s not like we have these toys in every household. And it’s not like other countries don’t have guns present in their culture (video games, movies, etc.).
They are most likely produced in China and are definitely going to be uncommon.
It’s like making a post “the US has 80-gallon drums of lube no joke”. It just feels like rage bait with an anti-US agenda
CTO of my company was up at 1am this morning in the chats. Pray for the IT department
No meaning - it was just a random picture combined with a random phrase meant to make someone laugh
I’m not sure how other people feel about it, but this is my"Vagina Man" shirt I had printed after a night of Jackbox
I’m realizing it’s blue but I’m normally a fan of purple, so I may switch.
I aim for #333399 because it’s nice and easy to remember
I absolutely love this one - this is one of the better jokes ever posted on this community
In the first few messages try to establish a date, event, some meeting.
This has always been my biggest tip. There is zero point in making smalltalk on the app. You aren’t getting accurate versions of each other, you are getting short, premeditated responses. And, if your match is a woman, she is getting dozens of additipnal matches and conversations, you don’t want to become “boring” and forgotten. Just meet in person as soon as you can in 99% of cases.
I’ll go ahead and say this also includes all “Souls-like” games for me.
Combat seems clunky, buggy, and unnecessarily difficult. I don’t have a ton of time to play games, so when I do, I want it to be relaxing.
Conversations as in a back and forth? Never. Not much of a point to it.
Asking questions about topics? On occasion. I find myself distrustful of hallucinations so I usually use it as a jumping off point.
Asking about bugs and documentation? Once a day at least
When I was younger I fell for two - baggy jeans and llamas.
I remember in 5th grade I tried to joke about llamas with one kid and show him the llama song (because he loved llamas) and he said I was just copying him. In hindsight fuck you Hans, you didn’t invent llamas, you were just copying others too, you tool!
Baggy pants were regrettable too…
They definitely weren’t monitoring the one at a time rule… I downloaded the file and now have it forever
I was looking for resources for a custom LLM and noticed they had a ton of copyrighted books and wondered to myself how the heck that was legal
I guess this answers that
I have a four, but most are from instances I’ve moved away from.
Started on Beehaw but when they started defederating from everyone I made a programming.dev account.
Also created a personal instance, but it was too heavy for my NAS to be worth it.
Finally, an Mbin account recently because the communism stuff from the main developers seems to be pretty contentious right now and I want to explore alternatives while I’m still happy with Lemmy. If some “event” happens and I find the need to move somewhere else its good to have an alternative in the pocket
See alcohol I could “get” but Pepsi? Who has a Pepsi addiction
I’m going to rant here because your comment re-ignited my rage.
My family and I have weekly dinners. I drive over there and pass through their neighborhood. They own a successful business so it’s a pretty nice neighborhood with a good median of trees down the main road passing through (still a 25 MPH speed limit). And every week for several years now, there is a discarded Pepsi can in the median. Not the same can, but a new can every week. Someone drives through there, likely multiple times a week and I’m just not there to see it, and throws a Pepsi can in roughly the same spot.
It enrages me. It’s so senseless and selfish that I cannot even fathom a reason. My best justification is that they’re a person who is “sticking it to the rich” by littering in a nice neighborhood, but that’s being extremely generous. I am convinced it’s purposeful because the consistency is staggering. A new can in the same 100 feet of road, every day.
And I know it’s not the same can because if it snows, the snow obscures the cans and the poor hero picking them up can’t see them, so when the snow melts there are several cans littered about.
It genuinely makes me so angry, because it’s so inexplicably terrible. I just hate things I can’t understand. It makes me more angry than Donald Trump because at least with Trump, on some level I get it. I may hate what he’s doing but I can logically see why he’s doing it and that understanding is almost calming, in a sense.
But this? Absolute nonsense. I just cannot see why someone would do this

Everyone here talking about blocking for political reasons and bad behavior while I’m over here blocking because you post unfunny memes.
I blocked several users who post far-left memes because they just sucked and weren’t even funny in the slightest, they just wanted to get their point across rather than make a funny memr
