my understanding is that an emulator effectively recreates the hardware’s different components in software so that from the game’s “perspective” it’s running on a real machine more or less.
This process instead decompiles the game code and recompiles for a new target machine.
I suspect one can’t just pump out a script in an afternoon to do this, but I am curious what is the complexity here?
I think the most famous one was the star wars jedi force trainer? Some people say it’s fake but… it’s like a headset you put on that they claim reads your brain waves and it controls a little fan that switches on and off to make a ball in a tube float
goldeneye 64 was pretty innovative even compared to its pc competition at the time. It suffered from performance issues, but the xbla remake or just good emulator settings fix that and really make it shine

it does depend on the ones you have. The cheap ones are just speakers. I have one of the higher end shoks with audio boost and it feels like it has a little speaker on top of the bone conducting.
if you’re in a quiet room and you put them on max and leave it on your desk you’d probably be able to pick out what it’s playing. I think at that point though the desk is somewhat becoming a medium for the sound…

my cat sometimes will leave the room, wail in a seemingly stressed way and if I go up to her and she sees me she meows sweetly and then follows me back to where we were.

the term normally refers to a developer that can be productive in every layer required for a typical application to work.
They can do the front end design/styling/implementation and are familiar with front end languages and frameworks
They can do the backend API design and are familiar with the typical backend languages and patterns.
They can do the database table design, write and optimize queries.
They can handle the ci/cd scripting that handles building and deploying the application
They can design and write the automation tests and are familiar with the libraries used for that.
And a bunch of other crap like load testing or familiarity with cloud services.
The latest thing added to the list is AI model creation which is a nightmare… but, I can’t say no 🤷♂️
