More thoughts: it is definitely a mod in terms of VA and general production values but the missions have been very good. Seriously impressive effort from this team.

I personally had more fun with this than Elden Ring. Maybe it was Dark Souls fatigue, or maybe it awakened a latent desire to play Mecha games which had been untapped before. Whatever it was I had a lot of fun.
Playing it now. I had to buy FO4 GOTY edition in order to play but that was fortunately on sale for £12. Encountered one game breaking bug in the first hour where I had to look at the floor of a train to avoid a crash to Windows desktop after the opening credits. However since then I’ve had no issues.
They seem to have leaned into the roleplaying elements of the series which I really appreciate. I felt that was missing from FO4 when I played that back on consoles when it came out. I’m not sure if, tonally, London will be a suitable location for a Fallout game given how heavily they lean into Americana - and a specifically American style of Hoover-esque Cold War paranoia. We’ll see how it goes as the game progresses.
In case anyone was wondering about this the details are here https://fallout4london.com/release/
Edit: basically you need to have them both installed from GOG, they are both about 32GB if you are using the FO4 GOTY edition
So if I claimed a “free” copy of this mod from gog then how will that help me install it vs downloading the mod from another site? I understand it requires a downgraded FO4 to play.
I had a family friend who worked as a midlevel dev at Rockstar 10 years ago and he was being paid £27k while crunching 100 hour weeks
Capcom have to have gotten an up front fee for porting it. This poor sales outcome is way too predictable for them to have bothered porting otherwise.
The OG Sims was the only game in the franchise with soul
His performance in the commons was the most impressive and I agreed with him on Brexit. At the same time those bullying allegations sounded credible and his response to critics was often unedifying.
I have also not beat it yet but was enjoying it more than Elden Ring (which I have also not finished).
I think Sekiro is still my personal favourite out of the games they’ve made. Dark Souls might edge it if I did a top 5 due to the nostalgia factor. Honorable mention to Bloodborne.
After reading this thread I feel like the original post is more like a soapbox than a shitpost. No personal opinion about the politics but I thought this was a humour sub.
I tend to pick up Gamepass for 1 month at a time when there is a game I want to play on there. Last time it was Hellblade 2, I grabbed it and played a couple sittings to finish it and then cancelled the sub immediately. I feel that is good value for money since I can check out a few other games in the 30 days.
I wouldn’t consider it worthwhile if I didn’t have an Xbox Series S though. If my main gaming device was a PC then I’d stick to being patient and waiting for sales. Series S + Nintendo Switch has been a solid combo for my budget gaming needs this gen.
His first console was a gameboy advance? My first was a gameboy and I’m 31! How old is this jabroni from the article?
“Sixteen at the time” is doing a lot of work in this article.
Yes the decline of “third spaces” which are not work or home is a huge factor. Even in adults who in theory could meet at their local pub (assuming they can afford a £7 pint and it hasn’t shut down).
I’ve never had CBD by itself but back in university once tried some medical grade weed which had been grown to minimize THC content and maximize CBD content. It was amazing - as someone prone to anxiety when I smoke - I found it to almost be like a different drug. Extremely relaxing with no racing thoughts. My flatmate and I even tried it on the tail end of mushrooms and instead of bringing the peak back like would usually happen it completely stopped the trip. Similar to having a large glass of wine or a valium.
Potentially you could say that you were investigating re-training and doing Udemy courses if you wanted to make it sound like you were not just sitting on your hands in the employment gap.
To be honest, as someone who has been sitting on the other side of the desk doing a lot of interviews on behalf of my company recently, I don’t really pry into the employment gaps. A lot of people put on their CV that they were focusing on their family commitments during the gap and there’s no real reason to question it. Employers are interested on the relevant experience that the candidate has over their entire career as opposed to just the last position they held.
+1 for Inscryption. It’s easy to “break” but that’s part of the appeal.
I’ve never heard of Bad North. Will need to check it out!
Edit: £3.83 in the steam sale so picked it up
Agree that the actual monster designs looked dull. Funnily enough in a “new pokemon” kind of way. Other monster collecting games like SMT and Digimon seem to manage to produce more interesting monsters/pals/demons.
Have they ever got the physics right on a SMB game when releasing on a non-gamecube platform?
This happens for every “free” game you claim on there.
I have a muscle memory for going into the settings and disabling the mailing list subscriptions at this point.
