Wasn’t that why the League of Nations failed?

Maybe your cat, not all cats have a happy life. There are children of oligarchs who live a similar life to your cat.
It is. It is related to support of Ukraine.
The US halted support to Ukraine, because the House of Representatives is now led by Mike Johnson, and is blocking any bills.
Trump asked him to do it and Johnson is blocking it. Trump isn’t even holding any position in the government, he is right now an ordinary citizen (with unordinary charges) and is affecting US foreign policy.
Now Johnson is taking time off and is going to Mar-a-Lago to see him. We have our government infiltrated by Russian agents.
I’m in software engineering. One would think that English would be a useless class for my major, yet at work I still have to write a lot of documents. Either preparing new features, explaining existing, writing instructions for others etc
BTW: with using AI to write essays, you generally have subject that is known and that many people write something similar, all of that was used to train it.
With technical writing you are generally describe something that is brand new and very unique so you won’t be able to make AI write it for you.
The LLM isn’t really thinking, it is auto complete trained so the average person would be fooled thinking that text was produced by another human.
I’m not surprised it has flaws like that.
BTW here on Lenny there are communities with AI pictures. Someone created a similar community but with art created by humans.
While the AI results are very good, when you start looking and comparing it with non AI art, you start seeing that the AI while it is unique it still produces a cookie cutter results.
I am so puzzled by this. I’ve been using the Internet for 30 years, and in early 2000 people were much more standing up to principles. The greatest example was when digg changed how it operated with v4, people left it overnight. Now they prefer to be fucked over and don’t have any intention of changing it, and excuses are really lame like “alternatives are too hard”.
I think Yuval Harari was right and social media figured out how to hack our brains and control us.
Heh, now as you mentioned, the logos do look very similar.
LOL, “censored”. You just want to see dicks.
They didn’t forget, they are now exploiting their monopoly after they killed competition.
I dunno, uBlock never showed any.
fuck spez, fuck Reddit

Though I must say I’m still upset at the losers that are still on twitter.
I feel like people changed drastically over the last two decades and are more likely to accept being fucked in the ass by corporations.
Remember what happened to digg when they changed the site to control the articles that are being posted? Or to Myspace when it was purchased by Murdoch?
What the hell happened?
Hey, no spoilers!
Corporations don’t always have to make sense it looks like during a meeting they concluded that games don’t generate significant profit so they decided to exit that entire market. They don’t want to have any employees to look over the account, or having to update is something or have any lawsuits (perhaps have offended someone, or formatted computer), I am not saying those could happen or make any sense, but essentially execs say they don’t want to have ANY liability and the lower employees comply the best they can.
Execs don’t care about users, to them this is just business.
If users were priority company for example could just make the games public domain, but that would be too much work, and no way back if (in very unlikely case) they wanted to bring the games back.
At least it wasn’t Mentos brand toilet bowl cleaner.
Hardly ahead of his time, he talks about SSL not TLS v3. SSL is ancient.
I would imagine Gmail is the primary reason people create an account with Google.
Not sure what you do, but 2021 and part of 2022 was crazy in the tech industry and those big companies were hiring like crazy. Smaller places actually had problems finding new employees.
In my company (which normally has a lot of longtimers) a lot of coworkers left during that time, because they found a job somewhere else.
Can you elaborate?
When layoffs were happening we got doom and gloom messages that recession was imminent and that it was primarily caused by interest rate increases.
A lot of people from tech industry were saying that this is because those companies were over hiring in 2021 and 2022. Now Zuckerberg is saying the same thing, but you are stating that it is a lie. Why?
Clickbaity titles… Thank you.
