1·10 months agoI grew up in a time when autism was diagnosable, but only if you were in the extreme end of the spectrum. I don’t even know if Asperger’s was a thing.
Many, many days of my adult life I’ve wondered if I’m on the (lighter) end of the spectrum. There’s still at least a two year waiting period to find out. So many “clues” I can point to from my childhood, but they could also just be coincidences.

The best way to stop people from thinking about the government is to make them constantly paranoid that their every move is being scrutinized; especially when it’s citizens watching other citizens.
Was that a casual chat with your neighbour, or were they trying to find out where you were last night, so they can report on you?
Will that offhand wise-crack about the government that you made to your coworker be reported?

Some people need socialising
Great, so find some people who want to socialise. Having that need does not give them the right to force OP to socialise if he doesn’t want to. He’s not stopping them from doing it, he just doesn’t want to partake in it himself, and he has every right not to.
OP owes exactly nothing to his co-workers other than doing his job and being polite. If you think he does, then you’re the problem.
Why do you think it’s OK to force someone else into interacting with the world the same way you do, just to please you? That’s not what OP is doing.

Public messaging is difficult for economics because of its complex nature. Even when you simplify it, the interconnected nature of seemingly unrelated things and unforseen consequences often escape people. Then there’s the human element which sometimes produces baffling outcomes.
But all that most people think is “Why do I have to pay so much for petrol? That’s bad.”
What kind of conflicts have you seen here?
I wonder how realistic that is; almost all of the science people I’ve met run Linux
