These fuckers will clean out a pond in your backyard in no time, so don’t worry about them. They alternate between a range of ponds anyway, it’s not like it’s gonna starve. They are beautiful birds though.
Throw a small fish on it and watch the heron‘s mind be blown by the fact it just skids across the surface.
That would happen on ice so I don’t think it will care. On the other hand if you bounce the fish the heron’s head might explode.
