  • Well, if it’s a “normal” touchscreen laptop, I think most Linux distros have support for it out of the box.

If you have a bit of patience. What you could do is simply install Linux on an external drive (usb stick works fine if its large enough) connected to your laptop.

That way you can freely try what works without messing anything up until you’ve decided.

  • All you have is trying to insult me because you think I’m white. Pathetic. I’m not American. I’m not part of your little race war. Don’t include me in it.

If you never comment, and only vote, it’s not going to doxx you. Your account can be assumed to live in a certain city. That’s it. Please tell me how that is used to dox someone. “Shit they know I live in Frome, I’m done for!”

But now you bringing up posting local pictures. Which is so far from “just voting”. That’s not your voting doxxing you. That’s you posting local pictures doxxing you.

You really didn’t think your argument through did you?

  • but this is the most dangerous thing that has happened this century.

A century is 100 years no? This was a failed assasination of a political candidate, former president.

You don’t remember the failed assasination of a sitting president named Regan? I think that was more dangerous.

You also had people storming the capitol and breaking into politicians offices and taking various documents and trying to make their way to them, themselves, some of the intruders were carrying Zipp cuffs, I’m sure they intended to use them as well. Not to mention that a police officer died during the insurrection as a direct consequence of it.

So I can easily think of something more dangerous not just in the century but in the decade. I mean cmon… it was just 3 years ago. Not even half a decade.

  • Very long story short. The catalyst was ofc a windows update that went through over night.

Reinstalled entire windows. Twice. First time I made the mistake of reinstalling lenovo software that came with laptop (battery controll etc) that caused together with windows complete freeze when plugging AC adapter in. (Because it put laptop in high performance mode which froze everything)

Second time I said fuck that and made sure I download the required drivers manually from AMD and Nvidia. And avoid Lenovo software all together. So far so good.

But fuck that windows update that broke everything to begin with. Lost my entire harddrive on a laptop not even 6 months old.
