The fact that massive corporations also say all matters must be resolved in small claims court and with mandatory arbitration with the company’s arbitrator is incredibly illegal sounding. Fuck you AT&T. They were the company who fought for revoking arbitration rights in contracts. The Supreme Court decided it was legal.

I really hope a politician bans those “Class Action Waiver” and “Revoking Right to Arbitration” riders that are getting put into everyone’s Term and Conditions contracts. We should have the right to band together if a corporation fucks us over and this is ridiculous.

Yes, but the quality is so crappy now. The same model of machine I have from 2008, is being sold today, but it’s rickety and not as powerful as it once was. Singer bought the sewing division in 2004 and kept the quality for a bit, but it plunged down in a few years.

Sewing machines. I’m a professional cosplayer and sewing/embroidering is a big part of that. My newest machine is from 2008. After that, they started adding in all these different electronic features, that are garbage. The machines both break easily and are limited to the technology/software of that time. You want a machine that can sew through leather and silk with the same grace, get an older machine. If you want something newer, avoid electronics or anything with a touchscreen.

My Husqvarna Viking Emerald 118 is so strong that when sewing corsets, my needle commonly punches through the thick ZipTies, that I use for boning, like they were butter. It’s a beast of a machine. If she ever breaks, I’m going to find a used one.

The scammers always have a field day with elections because so many people are too politically charged to do research. By LAW, every US campaign has to have the actual name of the person who’s sending texts and if it doesn’t, you know it’s a scam. If you have T-Mobile, you can forward the text to 7726 (SPAM) and they’ll shut it down. Never ever respond to these. Don’t even say “STOP” because then they’ll know it’s a number connected to a real human and not a business… a human they can scam.

My bigger concern is that almost every company now has it in their contracts/terms of services, that all users are not allowed to participate in a lawsuit, be it class action, or court case against them Most of them even have a maximum sue limit too!
