I don’t know, but I do know what a kilometre is!
Americans might know it as the more accurate “tunsend of corn kernels”. Or similar to a “heft of wayfarer”, or a “diggerty of pebbly straw silk”.
About 1000 yard.
Or very roughly 100,000 barleycorn.
It’s a device for measuring kilos, obviously.
