    Ive only recently made the switch. Question for you guys. You know how there’s often multiple copies of the same ‘sub’ on different instances. Do you subscribe to them all or just 1 copy on an instance that you like?

    I’m enjoying lemmy overall. Feels like reddit 15 years ago. I just sometimes wish there was a little more content getting posted.

      I subscribe to them all and browse just my subscriptions. I often don’t even care about the community the post comes from.

      You actually had a similar issue on Reddit with separate but closely related subs (if you’re interested in Linux, for example, there were multiple subs for Linux in general, gaming, “for noobs” which was interesting also for experienced users, memes etc).

          I don’t but now that you mention it, that’s actually surprising. I guess, Lemmy is still small enough that cross-posting isn’t that much of an issue. That may change though.

      Well, that’s a problem that’s within your power to fix! Start posting!

    Lemmy is great, it’s so good being able to use whatever app I want to use to browse it. Also the lack of karma farming power users and ads is a big bonus.

      Exactly. Don’t get me wrong, I post A LOT but it’s because I like sharing memes and that’s the end of it.

      The lack of novelty accounts and rote responses also helps keep things fresh

    I just checked my original account, and it looks like it was a year just a week ago.

    Damn, it’s already been a year.

    @jonathanvmv8f

    Also, it is very neat how people can interact with your posts from Mastodon, Kbin, Misskey, etc. By the very design of this place, barriers like the one that separated Reddit from Twitter do not exist here.

      Score UI for Lemmy was changed recently, would the hearts be likes from Mastodon? I wouldn’t know cause I never used Mastodon or Twitter lol

        Mind you, this is specifically the UI for your client. I’d guess that since 128-3=125, the heart is the score, upvotes-downvotes?

        I don’t think there’s any differentiation between likes form other Lemmy instances and from Mastodon instances, since they use the same unified protocol to communicate

    Same, it’s nice here. I don’t miss the old place at all (especially thanks to the Voyager PWA)
