It’s important to recognize that blame/circumstances are not isolated. Some variables may be within one’s influence, but not ever fully in control. Seeing that there are concerns is a useful step, but understandably more difficult to take appropriate, if any, action. Asking for help is not a weakness.

Now, if we’re talking about society at large, that’s their damned fault.

Sobering up is going from minor heaven to minor hell, so you can start approaching major heaven instead of major hell.

This is what I expect humanity’s response to climate change to be eventually. Only the last two images mean it’s too late and we all die. The end.

No no, only the poorest 90% will die. Everyone else will pretend they were one of the good ones afterwards and carry on.

There is zero reason to think 90% of people are going to die as a result of climate change.

The status of climate change claims is essentially:

        • Average temperature is going up: definitely true
        • CO2 levels are going up: definitely true
        • The CO2 increases are the cause of the temperature increase: probably, but conflicts with previous periods in geological history of higher CO2 and lower temps, or vice-versa
        • This is caused by humans: maybe
        • This will cause problems for humanity: definitely
        • This will cause existential threat to humanity: almost definitely not true
        • This will cause benefits to humanity: definitely true

The notion that climate change is going to kill us all is simply false. It’s not what science indicates.

This is the most confidentially incorrect thing I’ve seen in a while. Talk to a real climate scientist. Like a real one. They’re easy to find. They’re all (unfortunately) all over Twitter. Ask 3. Ask 10. You are going to be really sad after… But you’ll be educated. Or not. Up to you.
