I always thought he was known for fictional war writing like Tom Clancy. I never knew he was known for his horror stories. He wrote Hellraiser and Candyman was inspired by a short he wrote. I might need to add him to one of my favorite authors…

Weaveworld was huge when it came out. Great and Secret Show is good too.

For a quality horror experience, read the short story Dread, from The Books of Blood II collection.

    No spoilers, read it cold.

I never knew he was known for his horror stories.

That’s what he’s famous for. This post is wild.

This is so bizarre to me. He is specifically known as a horror author… Most famously for Hellraiser. I’m trying to imagine how one would think he was known for war stories and can’t figure it out.

But, congratulations! I wish I could start reading his books for the first time again and now you have that chance. Enjoy. They get weird.
