I had read somewhere about it being in a rough state playerbase-wise, which i guess isnt true, but it is no longer receiving updates, right? Anyway, might check it out.

I mean, ive played some dota in the past, i have about 200h on it, not nearly as much as league tho. But IME, especially for solo, league is just nicer overall. The mechanics for champions seem a lot more polished these days, and it is a lot more action focused, you have to worry about macro much less. The games are also like 50% shorter in league. As a solo player I find league to be a lot more laid back, where I can just play the champ more than play the game, if that makes sense.
To each their own of course, Im not saying one game is better than the other, but it is a hard sell to transition league to dota.
There’s realistic only DotA and I can understand the reluctance, the two games are massively different, League is much more suited for casual play.
I doubt there sustainable way around a kernel anticheat, that will not get you banned eventually. People either have to quit or dual boot.
The game leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Stunlock fucked over their playerbase with Battlerite, shifted dev focus onto a Battle Royale, which was supposed to be a gamemode, made a standalone game, fractured the community, then took what they had so far and rehashed it for a yet another new game.
Valid point. That said I have 3 boys, oldest is four and followed by twins who are one and a half younger, think they wont be lonely, but socialising outside of that will of course be cumbersome. My job means around 20 days off a month, so chauffeuring is also less problematic.
Its not misanthropic to want privacy and to be able to do whatever the fuck i want on my property without worrying about the neighbours. Sunbathe naked? Sure. Come home from a shift, wanna blast some music at 7:00 to unwind? Sure. All night party? No prob. Orgy by the pond? Why not.
On top of that, I don’t know many people below 50 who have a relationship with their neighbours that is more involved than exchanging pleasantries in the elevator. I don’t doubt that some do, but generally that seems the exception these days.
I mean, I live in a nice apartment and I still don’t enjoy density, living in the city with kids sucks in many ways. Im not sure I would enjoy suburbia that much more, especially if it means taking a hit on expenses. When I buy a house, I don’t want neighbours in spitting distance of me, which is why I will be looking something outside of the city, ideally without a neighbour within 500, if not 1000m of my house.
My money is on it being a rental
Nice, what bouldering grade?
Just reading that gave me a headache. In Latvia, heres how the system works.

The Quran immoral because because of the messages it conveys. The only way we can really say the people who wrote it were immoral is by inferring it from the work itself.
There are many times where the work / product / art stands on its own, and should you not know anything about the author, could not possibly be called immoral on its own merit. Admiring work like this, need not automatically validate the evil of the artist.
Just because you acknowledge that some aspect of something otherwise evil is good does not mean have to automatically excuse the bad, however you can recognise the good thing for just being good, on its own. You happily benefit from the work of shitty people, probably daily, it might even save your life one day.
Losing your appreciation for “something good” because of who made it is a perfectly reasonable take. But so is “something good” is good despite who made it.
Side note, genuinely wondering, is the Taj Mahal that intertwined with islam where we would not have it without? At the end of the day it is a tomb, and as far as I understand the biggest reason for it being built is love for the emperors wife
People do say that, but then that does not make the song more enjoyable, to me at least.
Theres a difference between “he recorded that in a camper van, thats pretty cool” and “daamn that was recorded it a camper van”.
Using “it” for an animal is perfectly reasonable. An argument can be made for using they instead but we even use it for humans occasionally (e.g. Jack checked on the baby, it was sleeping peacefully).
Did she represent herself or what? How did she only end up getting 800000 (500 from PD and 300 from EMS. What I suspect, and none of the articles I looked up clarify, is that she missed the treatment window. Which means she likely ended up having permanent disability, at least in part, if not entirely due to the negligence of the Police and EMS involved.
Strokes come in two flavours - ischemic (clot has blocked blood to some area and hemmorhagic - blood has leaked into some area of the brain (or around it)
An ichemic stroke needs to be treated within 4 hours (there are some ways to extend this window, in some patients) of symptom onset. Within this timeframe it is possible to dissolve the clot that caused it and restore blood flow to the damaged area. As we usually say time = brain cells, the longer the delay, the more permanent damage is done, the end of the window means likely all of the involved brain cells are permanently dead.
Some cell death occurs also in hemmorhagic stroke, because the blood flow is compromised due to the damaged blood vessel but also due to pressure the leaking blood exerts on tissues surrounding it. And it is still important to treat it promptly, delays will result in more permanent damage.
What is also fucked is that she had reportedly memory issues and trouble speaking, there was EMS on scene, who examined her and wanted to take her to the hospital but she refused. I doubt she had capacity to refuse, she was likely disoriented and not critical of her condition, I would have taken against her against her will at this point, if unable to convince her to go on her own, stroke victims often themselves do not realise/comprehend their condition at the time.
Hol up though, how is not voting for Biden resolving the Israel-Palestine conflict? Are you saying Trump would somehow not be worse in this regard? Or are you saying theres actually a snowflakes chance in hell for a 3rd party to take the lead?
Oh, okay, I misunderstood. For some reason I thought you meant some games might compensate the movement in a non-45 diagonal. Direction locking makes sense in some games.
Hmm, can you give me qn example of when it wouldn’t?
Theres also the point that point and click (or analog stick) means you can move directly in an axis that is not possible by WASD, so off the 8 wasd axes, this will be quicker than WASD (although not by THAT much).
Battlerite in it self was a second attempt by SLS, first was Bloodline Champions. Battlerite took what BLC was and made it super polished, I loved the gameplay, it was truly all skill, had a very WoW arena feel to it.
But it just seems that this is not a formT that people are into. On the one hand I get it, it is kind of sweaty, OTOH, the matches were super short.
Other notable examples of short burst fun competitive games, that just missed the mark for the general public: OmegaStrikers (basically as dead, still not quite there) and SpeedRunners (still a good pickup for playing with friends, if you strictly play together and don’t practice outside of your group, endless fun).
