Do you know how long it takes to do everything?

Eternity. I doubt even with all time forever you’d be able to do everything. Our world is ever-changing, much less the wider universe.

The one stipulation I’d put on living forever is the ability to change with the universe. Who’s to say physics will even allow us to perceive reality in a few billion years, if we’re stuck the way we are?

Yeah, but what if I misread it? Or i forgot how much time these noodles cook for cause the noodles I cooked yesterday took 9-10 minutes.

It takes emotion to make rash decisions based on reactionary feelings.

If you only do things because it feels right instead of what you’ve thought through and understood as a rational course if action… you’re doing the same thing as those who storm capital buildings cause an orange man told them to.

Wouldn’t that fall under the basic necessities part of OPs post?

How my actions affect other people.

The problem is, if they’re afraid they have the resources to do something about it. That much wealth can buy a lot of private armies. It also buys a lot of lobbyists.

It takes more thought and planning then reacting with emotion against them. That feeds their goals just fine.

And affordable.

Why go after climate scientists… who have been saying this “for generations”? Climate scientists aren’t the problem.

“A lot” is an interesting descriptor, especially when comparing loud easily defined groups with quieter more subtle groups.

Its the difference between those animals that puff themselves out to five times their normal size and those that prefer not to be seen at all. Are there a significant portion of the first as compared to the second, just because you see them more blatantly?

I mean, I’m not saying things can’t get better… but they’ll never be like Idiocracy. The reason people seem to be getting stupider isn’t because of eugenics, it’s because of the concerted efforts of those in power to stigmatize intelligence. They’re not just going to up and disappear… they’re going to exploit the under-educated.

Will never happen, there’s far too many selfish smart people who aren’t waiting to have kids. There will be a ruling class as long as we continue on this path.

He is more hated, yes, but a lot of the people who hate him will vote for him anyway because they’ve been led to believe the alternative is the end of civilization as they know it.

Did you see more premise in the trailer than I did? Cause aside from one or two lines “Can the living and the dead co-exist” it’s mostly just loosely connected “Hey look” moments.
