Yesterday some uptown girl commented on my ruggy full beard, so today I wore my beard again, because I don’t really give a fuck about her opinion.

What is the point of making up contentious stories? Just say you got a haircut. I guess getting people to comment is the point, which evidently works. I hate this version of the internet.

“I was victimized by the patriarchy, so I got a haircut”

Everything has to be a buzzfeed headline… Nobody “just does stuff” anymore. All of life’s banal moments need to be presented as either a reaction or a challenge to really sell them. How else are you going to get online randos invested in your new haircut?

I did suspect that possibility. My statement stands though. I hate this version of the internet where doing this sort of stuff is common and popular.

You don’t understand. A simple compliment about something that obviously takes a lot of work is TRAUMATIZING! Tune in tomorrow when she tries to get her revenge via HR and they politely tell her to seek employment elsewhere because they don’t want none of her kind of crazy, and she follows up with a post about being unfairly cancelled.

Anybody (of any gender) that perfomatively does something solely out of spite is toddler core.

“My girlfriend told me she doesn’t like mullets so I got a mullet lol”

“My dad says I’m not allowed a tattoo so now I want one even more!”

    Toddler core.

I don’t know if I’d trust any of the text around it until we see more … the picture doesn’t seem like it matches at all.

I mean, you can downvote me but the text seems utterly ridiculous. If it’s real then you guys are right, but it certainly doesn’t seem like a believable story.

I have the kind of super long and thick hair that gets attention. Most of the compliments I like. I did after all use a lot of effort and time growing and taking care of it.

Once, at work, I got approached by a guy with a fetish for long, reddish hair. He proceeded to tell me how great of a boyfriend he’d be, how he’d wash and brush and take such good care of my hair. I was disgusted. And that disgust got associated with my hair. It took a couple of days for that disgust to fade and during it I did not like my hair.

If that kind of shit happened often I’d totally see myself cutting the hair off.

I love that new hairstyle for her! I don’t think everyone can pull it off, but it looks great.

I think she could pull off a different style of short but I disagree it’s a good look at least compared to her long hair. Sucks someone grossed her out so much she felt the need to cut it.

For links you can just drop the c/ and it should work !fuckxavier@remi.therat

Although if you’re just using it as a joke hashtag you prob don’t need the domain at all and just the c/fuckxavier makes the point for you

Years ago I had a romantic partner, and they were going through some significant changes, eventually culminating in our breakup and later their acceptance and identification with non-binary gender. Not important.

Shortly after we broke up, or kinda broke up or whatever, she shaved her head to a short stubble. It looked good. Started hanging out more with a guy we knew let’s call him Tom. Real nice guy, great cook, just a good all round human. He decided to go on a cross country van trip, and my ex decided to go with him. Saw some pics looked like fun, whatever.

Within our friend group there was a couple that would come around to parties: she was very nice and friendly, strikingly attractive light eyes; her husband was kind of a terse dickish guy. About a year after my ex’s road trip, the couple gets a divorce. The woman, shaves her head to a short stubble, it looked good. Within a few months guess who goes on a cross country road trip with Tom?

Tom had some kind of incredible game wrt recently shorn femmes and cross country road trips.

Entirely besides the point, but the shirt hair makes her head look very square. So I think she was better off with the long hair.
